We are super excited to be co-hosting the Global Game Jam for Tulsa in collaboration with the TU ACM SIGGRAPH student chapter and the Tandy School of Computer Science at the University of Tulsa.
What’s a Game Jam?
“Jam” is not referring to the condiment that adorns toast. Instead, it relates to musicians who often have what they call “jam sessions”, where they come together and play music together.
A Game Jam is the coming together of game designers and developers from all skill levels and age groups collaborating to make a game in a set time frame.
These games are far from complete but the idea is to challenge everyone to explore what they can do with their skills, resources and time.
The Global Game Jam?
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is a game jam that takes place simultaneously around the world the last weekend in January.
Participants work concurrently around the globe; developing a game within 48-hours around one central theme.
Join the Tulsa Game Jam
We encourage all our past and new participants to join us at the University of Tulsa on January 31st through Feb 2 for the Global Game Jam. This is a great way to jump-start a project for the upcoming CSGC conference in April, giving you time before our event polish the game.
